Shahzad Town Police have arrested senior journalist Ayaz Amir in connection with the murder of his daughter-in-law, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.

According to sources, Section 109 has been added to the case now along with 302.

Ayaz Amir and his wife will also be interrogated. Police had arrested Shah Nawaz the son of the senior journalist for murdering Sara. 

According to police, Shah Nawaz married Sara, a Canadian national three months ago. She was his third wife,  the lawmen said adding that efforts were being made to contact her family in Canada.

Reportedly, Shah Nawaz murdered his wife by repeatedly hitting her with a dumbbell in the Chak Shahzad area of Islamabad.
