Charsadda Police in a successful operation in Shabqadar arrested three terrorists of the banned outfit and saved Charsadda from a major disaster, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The police said on the eve of Muharram, Shabqadar police foiled a terror plot and arrested three terrorists.

The Charsadda Police said the arrested terrorists belonged to a banned organization and police have recovered two IEDs and three hand grenades from them.

All the terrorists had already prepared a suicide bomber to attack Khawaja Vas Police Station in Charsadda, the TV channel reported, quoting the police.

The alleged terrorists were also planning to attack police vans in Shabqadar and Saro Kalay areas. Police have recovered three SIMs of Afghanistan from the accused terrorists. 

The same group demanded extortion money from the Paramjeet Sindh in 2014 and on refusal the gang murdered him.

The terrorists have been handed over to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) for further investigations, the TV channel reported.
