Three accused killed in Lahore police encounters

Three accused were killed and one became seriously injured during two police encounters in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The first police encounter took place in the Model Town area of Lahore. The Crime Control Department (CCD) team said that the dead dacoit, identified as Mohammad Bilal, was involved in more than three dozen crime cases.

In the second police encounter in the Shafiqabad area of Lahore, two accused died, and one became critically injured. A Crime Control Department spokesman said that all the accused were riding on a motorcycle.

A CCD team signaled them to stop, but they started firing on the CCD team. During the exchange of fire, two accused received serious bullet injuries and died on the spot, and two others escaped from the scene.

One injured accused was arrested by the police.

Different teams of Crime Control Department started a search operation to apprehend the culprits who escaped from the scene.
