Punjab bans private tutoring during school hours

The School Education Department Punjab has imposed a strict ban on government teachers teaching at private schools or academies, citing negligence towards students in public institutions.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, thousands of teachers across the province were found violating official rules by engaging in private teaching during school hours.

The department has clarified that any teacher caught teaching at a private school or academy during official working hours will face disciplinary action.

An official statement said teachers’ activities will now be strictly monitored, and strict action will be taken against violators.

The move aims to ensure better attention and quality education for children enrolled in public schools.
