Australia reaffirm commitment to visit Pakistan amid Omicron outbreak

Cricket Australia chief executive Nick Hockley on Sunday said the situation is difficult because of Omicron, but will still visit Pakistan as scheduled.
Cricket Australia chief executive Nick Hockley said in a statement on the tour of Pakistan that the Australian team had recently gone to Pakistan to take stock of the situation.
Nick Hockley added that the situation is difficult because of Omicron but is determined to visit Pakistan, as long as the situation is safe Australia is determined to visit Pakistan.
It is to be noted that the Australian team will visit Pakistan in March next year after 24 years.
Australia will also tour India and Sri Lanka next year after not playing a Test overseas since the 2019 Ashes finale at The Oval.
