Notorious dacoit killed in Qambar police encounter

A notorious dacoit, Mushtaq alias Musto Ghogiani Chandio, was gunned down during a police encounter in Qambar district of Sindh, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

The encounter took place in the jurisdiction of Warah Police Station on Hamal Road.

Police said that the dacoit, along with accomplices, was waiting to commit a robbery when a police team that was on routine patrolling intercepted him.

During the encounter, the dacoit Mushtaq, who was involved in the martyrdom of the policemen, was killed. 

Police said that the dacoit became a symbol of terror. Police also recovered a pistol and bullets from his possession.

The other accomplices of the dacoit escaped from the scene, taking advantage of the darkness.

Police have already started a search operation to apprehend the dacoit.
