Water tanker crushes another man to death in Karachi

A water tanker on Wednesday morning crushed another man to death in Manshera Colony of Landhi area in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The deceased was later identified as Aqil Ahmad aged 30, who was a resident of Landhi-89. All of his family members shocked after listening to the news of his death.

A brother of dead man Atiq Ahmad told that the late Aqil Ahmad was married three years ago and was a father of two children and was doing surf soda business.

He further told that the Aqil was went to Bilal Colony in Karachi for some work.

Atiq said that his brother was went outside his home without his CNIC and any other documents. 

He said that family members of deceased waited till afternoon for his safe return but after Maghrib prayers they started to search the victim.

He said that his son went outside several times in search of his father but came back disappointed.

Atiq Ahmad said that the family of the victim will start legal proceeding after his final rituals.

Aqil Ahmad will be buried in Sherpao graveyard.

Karachi has witnessed a disturbing surge in traffic accidents, with a total of 107 lives lost in just the first 45 days of 2025, the rescue service said. The victims include 78 men, 14 women, 11 children and 4 girls.

In response to the rising number of accidents, the traffic police have taken action, issuing 34,655 challans and arresting 490 drivers. Additionally, 532 vehicle fitness certificates were cancelled.
