In order to eliminate the culture of tax evasion, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has introduced rules under which 20 percent of the total amount of tax collected will be given to the citizens assisting it in tracing the tax evaders, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The FBR has also announced 12 to 24 percent increase in the salaries of its employees showing exceptional performances.

Similarly, the bureau has also announced three additional salaries for its employees showing better performances.

The new rules, which have taken effect from January 1, 2021, will apply to the recovery of Federal Excise Duty, Income and Sales Tax.
