The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is resuming the ATR flight operation from Lahore and Islamabad to Saidu Sharif (Swat) on March 26 after a lapse of 17 years.
The first flight would leave for Saidu Sharif from Lahore at 8am and the second from Islamabad at 9:50am.
The national airline has already informed the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) about resumption of the flight operation and requested necessary arrangements at the Saidu Sharif airport.
The CAA has finalised the required arrangements at Saidu Sharif airport. The infrastructure for the domestic operation has been available at the airport since September 2019, but it can handle only small aircraft ATR-70 for now.
