Rustam Pakistan Dangal to be held in Faisalabad tomorrow

The Pakistan Wrestling Federation will organise the prestigious Rustam Pakistan Dangal in Faisalabad on Friday, officials said.

The event will take place at the Football Ground Noorpur, where top wrestlers from across the country are set to compete.

The title bout will feature Pakistan Army’s Muhammad Gulzar, also known as Gulo Butt, against WAPDA’s Muhammad Adnan, popularly called Tyran Wala.

According to organisers, around 20 small and major wrestling contests will be held ahead of the final title match, providing a platform for emerging and seasoned wrestlers alike.

Officials of the federation described Rustam Pakistan as the country’s biggest indigenous wrestling competition, adding that the event plays a key role in promoting traditional wrestling.

Federation President Chaudhry Arshad Sattar said the Rustam Pakistan competitions begin at the grassroots level, helping to identify and nurture talent from across the country.
