Army called in for Red Zone security

The government has issued a notification to call in the Army for the security of the red zone, 24NewsHD TV channel reported late Tuesday.
The Interior Ministry sought the army's help under Article 245. The troops will be deployed on the security of all government buildings including the Supreme Court, Parliament, and PM House.
The PTI chief Imran Khan gave the call to march to the federal capital and asked his supporter to gather at D-Chowk.
The government and the PTI are entangled in a fierce face-off as the latter has refused to budge and the government will not let its writ challenge.
Violent clashes reportedly left lawmen and PTI marchers injured while public properties were demaged
The Interior Ministry has issued directives to stop former premier Imran Khan's convoy at Peshawar Morr.
The lawmen have been asked to bar the convoy from entering the federal capital while the marchers have been asked to go to H9 Ground, sources said.
Islamabad IG Dr Akbar Nasir Khan met lawmen at D-Chowk and paid tribute to them for discharging their duties to maintain order. He said they played a due role in maintaining the state writ. Eight police and 7 Rangers sustained injuries as the violent protester pelted the lawmen with stones
