CAA notifies amended SOPs to stem Covid-19 spread

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has notified amended standard operation procedures (SOPs) for passengers arriving in the country.
The new guidelines would be valid till December 31, 2020. According to the notification, the passengers coming to Pakistan have been divided into two categories (A and B).
The CAA placed 21 countries including China, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka in the category-A which would be exempted from going through coronavirus test.
The authority made mandatory the test for passengers put in the category-B before 96 hours. The passengers reaching Pakistan from Denmark will undergo Covid-10 testing once again at respective airports.
The inbound passengers are bound to fill health declaration form, said the notification issued by the CAA director air transport. Following an alarming resurgence in the number of new Covid-19 cases and deaths, authorities issued SOPs for international travellers. Previously, the CAA announced three categories.
