♦ PTI Chairman Imran Khan has announced that his party has decided not to remain part of the current political system and will instead resign from all the assemblies. “We will not be part of this system. We have decided to quit all the assemblies and get out of this corrupt system.” Imran said the PTI had decided not to go to Islamabad to avert any destruction or chaos. He added that he would soon be meeting his chief ministers and the parliamentary party about the matter and would soon make the announcement about when the party would leave the assemblies.

♦ PTI workers broke into the enclosures restricted for women and VIPs at the party’s gathering venue in Rawalpindi. The workers have taken away chairs, while the police and organisers have failed to stop them. A PTI leader in Hangu started beating a journalist when asked about low participation by the party workers in their much-touted power show

♦ PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz labelled PTI’s Haqeeqi Azadi march the “most unsuccessful long march fraught with drama after drama.” Maryam said that all plans devised by PTI Chairman Imran Khan, including his conspiracy narrative, and interference in the army chief’s appointment, have failed miserably. “This is how conspiracies end,” she added.

♦ Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that all the claims Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf made of having a “Tsunami” of people in their Long March today were proven wrong as less than even 15000 people were seen.

♦ JUI Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman lashed out at Imran Khan saying because of the PTI chief, the country is facing economic problems. Addressing a rally in Mansehra, he said Pakistan was confronted with political chaos and the fake government of Imran Khan had put the country on the precipice of economic disaster. He said we fought for the defence of the state and saved the country from going bankrupt. He said that the value of the rupee was being appreciated against the US dollar and the new government halted its freefall.

♦ At least nine terrorists were killed in an intense fire exchange that took place between the terrorists and the security forces in Siah Koh area of Kohlu district, Balochistan. The terrorists were involved in the Kohlu Bazar bomb blast that claimed four lives and injured 19 passersby. The organization was involved in kidnapping for ransom, extortion, and attacks on security forces in the region.

♦ Counter Terrorism Department Punjab arrested nine alleged terrorists belonging to defunct outfits in different areas of Lahore and Rawalpindi during an operation; Karachi police arrested an accused from Pak Colony involved in the murder of a police officer and two other persons
