Scottish Labour Party leader Anas Sarwar named Scottish Politician of the Year

Scottish Labour Party leader Anas Sarwar, was honoured with the award of Scottish Politician of the Year. Sarwar collected the award, along with the prize for the Donald Dewar Debater of the Year, in a ceremony held at Edinburgh’s Prestonfield House Hotel.
Anas is the son of Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar.

He took to his Twitter handle and shared the news with the public.
Anas wrote, “It’s an incredible honour for him to be named as the best Scottish Politician of the year as well as Donald Dewar Debater”.
Scottish politician thanked his entire team saying, “I may be the lucky one that received the awards, but it is thanks to the hard work and support of my incredible team”.

He was born in Glasgow to Pakistani Muslim parents Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Parveen.
