Afghanistan’s NMF warns India against supporting Taliban

India is now beginning to face the music for its support for the Afghan Taliban against Pakistan as Afghanistan’s armed outfit National Mobilization Front (NMF) has warned India against supporting the Taliban and militant groups such as Daesh and TTP for creating instability in the region, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

In its statement, the NMF has said that India is being warned for the second time that it must stop supporting the Taliban and militant groups in Afghanistan.

The outfit has expressed surprise that India which claims to be one of the largest democracies in the world supports the Taliban, who allegedly have poor human rights track record. “These are double standards on the part of India,” it has added.

The NMF has opined that the opening of the Indian embassy in Kabul will strengthen the Taliban regime. “Does the Indian government want to spread chaos in its own country by supporting the present Afghan government?,” it has questioned.

The outfit has expressed the fear that if India continues to back the Taliban, the latter will start eyeing India as their next target.

The NMF has also announced cooperation with Khalistan freedom movement in India.

It has demanded that India severs its relations with the Taliban and militant groups forthwith. “If India does not revisit its policy, it will be to blame for the consequences.”
