Dar lands in Pakistan, vows to take country out of economic vortex

Former finance minister Ishaq Dar has said that they will take the country out of the economic whirlpool as there is a lot of hope of going in a positive monetary direction. 

Talking to the media person at Noor Khar Airbase on Monday, he said that we will strive hard to put the national economy on the right path.  

He hoped that we will now head in a positive direction for the betterment of the country and masses. 

Ishaq Dar said he has reached Pakistan on the instructions of the party leader, Nawaz Sharif, and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. 

“I will try my best to fulfill all the responsibilities assigned to me by the party stalwarts, he said adding that he hoped the country will be out of the economic crisis, the way he did in 1998-1999 and 2013-2014, he added.  

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Ishaq Dar landed in Islamabad on Monday night from London.

Former finance minister Ishaq Dar was accompanied by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Ali Dar. 

He landed in his homeland after spending five years in London in self-imposed exile. From day one, Ishaq Dar was of the opinion that the cases against him were political nature.  

It is pertinent, after two days-long consultation meetings of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leadership in London, it was finally decided that Ishaq Dar would return to his homeland along with PM Shehbaz on his plane.

During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif nominated Senator Ishaq Dar as the Finance Minister.

The nominated finance minister Ishaq Dar will take oath as Senator on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Later, he will also take an oath of the post of Finance Minister on the same day replacing the sitting Finance Minister Miftah Ismail.
