HEC issues alert about fake portal

Higher Education Commission (HEC) advised the students to take information from its official website and avoid sharing their personal and bank information on fake, forged websites or phone calls, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to the details, after dodging and looting citizens online, the fraudsters turned their focus on students and created a fake portal to target them by obtaining their personal and financial information.
The Higher Education Commission advised the students only to collect information through the official website.
The Higher Education Commissioner further informed the public not to use fake and forged portals and one-time passwords (OTP) and bank details with anyone.
