Resolution moved in BA to enact Balochistan Land Record and Management Authority

Resolution has been moved in Balochistan Assembly to enact a new law called Balochistan Land Record and Management Authority on Friday, the resolution was moved by PMA Shahida Rauf, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to the resolution, the Balochistan Revenue Act 1967, which is very old now, does not meet the requirements of the present era. This law is based on the old system of the colonial era. 

According to the resolution, in the current system, the unlimited powers of Patwars and Revenue Officers cause public problems, unrest and land disputes and in contrast, other provinces of the country have digitalized all their land records and are providing transparency, ease and justice to the public. 

In the resolution, it is said that the House suggest to the provincial government that a comprehensive review of the Balochistan Land Revenue Act 1967 be conducted and reforms should be introduced according to the requirements of the present era. 

In the resolution, it is also demanded to make a new law under the name of "Balochistan Land Record and Management Authority". In which a permanent, empowered, and professional authority should be established, which would provide online access to the public and make individual alteration easily available. 

The resolution was presented by Member of Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch. According to the resolution, Gwadar, which has now taken the form of an international city and the importance of Gwadar Port City is undeniable, that is why Gwadar is called the crown jewel of CPEC. 

According to the resolution, it is regrettable that despite billions of rupees being spent in Gwadar over the past several years, the residents of Gwadar are deprived of basic facilities. After spending nearly Rs 18 billion on water for the past several years, no permanent solution has been found for water supply. 

In the resolution, it is said that this House suggests to the provincial government that water be provided to the people of Gwadar district from Mirani Dam. So that the water problem of the people of Gwadar district can be solved.
