The Punjab government has decided to start “smart sampling” in the province from April 28 in order to know the real number of coronavirus cases in the local community.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said in a tweet on Monday that a committee of the well-known experts has been formed to decide the future course of action on the basis of results of smart sampling.
Earlier, he said, the government was fully focused on conducting tests of the people put in quarantine. The chief minister said that now the pressure has eased a bit and the government has decided to start smart sampling, which would help the authorities have an idea of spread of the virus in the community.
