All exams cancelled till June 15
Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood Tuesday announced the cancellation of all the examinations in the country till June 15.
Addressing a press conference along with PM’s Adviser on Health Dr Faisal Sultan, Shafqat said all the O and A Level exams have also been shifted to October and November.
He said there will be no matriculation or intermediate examinations before June 15. He said they would review the situation again in the thrid week of May and would take decision then on holding the examinations after June 15 or further postponing the exams.
However, he said if some students have some compulsions to take examinations to save their academic year, they would be allowed to take the examinations.
However, he said no examination centre will be allowed to have more than 50 students at a single venue.
Shafqat said it has also been decided to extend the new admission dates in the universities to January next.
He said the government would not waste the academic year of any student.
