KP private schools barred from holding exams during winter break

The Private Schools Regulatory Authority (PSRA) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has prohibited private schools from conducting examinations during the winter holidays, 24NewsHD TV reported.

According to an official notification issued on December 26, PSRA observed that some private schools had scheduled exams during the winter break, in violation of existing guidelines.

The authority directed all private schools to immediately cancel any exams planned during this period.

The notification warned that failure to comply with the instructions could result in legal action under the Private Schools Regulatory Authority Act, 2017.

PSRA reiterated that no private school or educational institution is permitted to hold exams during the winter holidays and emphasized strict adherence to previously issued guidelines without exception.

Meanwhile, the KP government has already announced the winter vacation schedule for both public and private schools.

Schools located in summer zones will remain closed from January 1 to January 15, while educational institutions in winter zones will remain shut from December 22, 2025, to February 28, 2026.
