The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will not arrest Leader of the Opposition in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz when he will be freed from a prison in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

FIA Director Lahore Muhammad Rizwan directed not to arrest Hamza Shehbaz immediately after his release from the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.

He has decided to summon the PML-N leader after his release in connection with a case registered against him for Rs25 billion money laundering in Ramzan Sugar Mills.

According to the FIA, Hamza Shehbaz was then CEO of the sugar mills.

The FIA had obtained evidence of Rs25 billion money laundering from the accounts of the sugar mills employees.

The Agency will issue summons in the next few days to Hamza Shehbaz.
