PM calls for immediate steps to reduce loadshedding in Chitral

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered the authorities to take immediate steps to reduce loadshedding in Chitral, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad summoned to solve the electricity and infrastructure problems in the remote area on Friday.

The premier said that he could not tolerate any delay in the resolution of power-related problems in Chitral. He directed the minister and Peshawar power secretary to summon a meeting on electricity issue in Chitral and immediately present him a report in this regard. 

PM Shehbaz ordered to replace the outdated power transmission system in Chitral with an up-to-date infrastructure. He directed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa power ministry to formulate a strategy in collaboration with the energy development organization. 

The premier ordered the authorities to ensure that priority will be given to the indigenous people while giving employment in the development projects and government institutions in Chitral.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also sought immediate report on the aid given to the flood affectees. He said that it is the priority of his government to provide equal opportunities of progress to the people of the backward areas.
