Ch Shujaat celebrates 80th birthday

Veteran politician and President of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain celebrated his 80th anniversary today, but cancelled all the events across Pakistan due to the Gul Plaza tragedy, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The spokesman of PML (Q), Mustafa Malik confirmed that all events which were to be celebrated today are cancelled. 

He said that Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain extended his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the Gul Plaza tragedy.

He vowed to stand with the families of the victims of the Gul Plaza tragedy. He said that Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain understand necessity of reconciliation, political stability, and continuity of the democratic process.

The PML-Q spokesman said that Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain is considered a symbol of democratic continuity, and their role in promoting national unity, tolerance, and the democratic process has always been prominent.

The PML-Q will continue its politics of stability and reconciliation.
