Implementation on 10% free education in private schools ordered

It was revealed that the condition of free education for 10 percent of children in private schools under the law was not being implemented, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Punjab Assembly Standing Committee on School Education ordered School Education Department to ensure 10 percent free education in private schools within 10 days.

Standing Committee on School Education ordered to cancel licenses of private schools that do not provide 10 percent free education.

The department itself should admit deserving children in private schools, Standing Committee ordered.

The Committee further stressed that do not rely only on school data, the department should verify itself. 

The School Education Department assured the Committee that the department will collect data of all private schools related to 10 percent free education and free education of 10 percent children in private schools will be ensured in any case.
