Govt spokespersons should acknowledge 2017-18 figures: Tareen

PTI leader Jahangir Tareen said that he would be grateful if the government spokespersons acknowledge the farmer compensation figures from 2017-18.

Responding to the press conference of Special Assistant for Accountability Shehzad Akbar, Jahangir Tareen said that he was the only sugar mill owner who paid the full price of sugarcane to the farmers during 2017-18 season.

In a twitter message, Jahangir Tareen retweeted the Prime Minister’s tweet dated October 12, 2017.

He tweeted: “I will be grateful if current Govt. Spokespersons acknowledge that in the 2017/18 season, I was the only one who paid the full Rs.180 support price of cane while others are accused of paying Rs.140. A fact that was graciously acknowledged by my leader himself.”
