PM wants Tareen’s cases’ investigation without any pressure, Shahzad Akbar tells FIA

Adviser to Prime Minister on Interior and Accountability Shahzad Akbar Thursday conveyed the message of PM Imran Khan to the investigation team of FIA that the Prime Minister wanted Jahangir Khan Tareen’s cases’ investigation without any pressure, reported 24News HD TV channel.
Shahzad Akbar paid a surprised visit to the FIA Director office at Lahore where he was briefed about the Satta mafia, and Broadsheet Investigation. Akbar commended the performance of FIA despite the prevailing hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The insiders say that he conveyed a message of PM Imran Khan regarding Jahangir Khan Tareen’s cases to the director FIA Dr Rizwan as the PM wanted a free and fair investigation of Tareen’s cases.
Shahzad Akbar advised FIA Director Dr Rizwan to substantiate the cases with proofs. He said the government had given cases to the FIA as it had trust in the agency.
He asked the FIA officials not to disappoint the prime minister and get the culprits punished after substantiating the cases with proofs.
Shahzad Akbar and FIA director decided to enhance the investigative capabilities of IFA regarding monetary and money laundering cases. In this regard, training and availability of the record from monetary and government institutions programs will be started soon. Shahzad Akbar advised the officers to conduct free and fair investigations without any pressure.
