Armed forces leadership reaffirms commitment to national defence on Eid

Pakistan’s military leadership extended Eid-ul-Adha greetings to the nation on Wednesday, reaffirming the armed forces’ commitment to defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

According to the media wing of the armed forces, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and Admiral Naveed Ashraf conveyed their heartfelt Eid greetings to the people of Pakistan and members of the armed forces.

In their joint message, the military chiefs said Eid-ul-Azha serves as a powerful symbol of sacrifice, faith and unity. 

They noted that the Eid occasion reflects the enduring values of devotion, obedience and selflessness, which continue to inspire individuals and strengthen societies.

The military leadership prayed for enduring peace, national prosperity and greater unity across the country. 

They emphasised the importance of solidarity and collective responsibility in overcoming challenges and advancing the nation’s progress.

The chiefs also reaffirmed the resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. 

They stated that the armed forces remain steadfast in fulfilling their constitutional responsibilities and protecting the nation against all threats.

The Eid message concluded with prayers for the wellbeing of the people of Pakistan and for continued peace, stability and prosperity throughout the country.
