Imran Khan unable to offer Eid prayers in jail due to security concerns

Former prime minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were unable to offer Eid-ul-Adha prayers on Saturday due to security concerns at Adiala Jail, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday. 

Like the rest of the country, Eid prayers were held inside Adiala Jail, where inmates offered prayers at the prison’s central mosque and imambargah.

According to sources, two major Eid congregations were organised at the jail, attended by hundreds of prisoners, under-trial detainees, and jail officials.

However, security restrictions prevented Imran Khan from participating in the Eid prayers, while Bushra Bibi remained inside her cell during the occasion, the sources added.
