The Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) adopted a resolution against the ban on 24NewsHD at Shaheed-i-Islam conference on Thursday.

Thousands of people raised their hands in support of the resolution demanding the government lift the ban immediately.

In his address at the conference, the JUI-F chief took a swipe at the government for muzzling the media, saying that the government bans any channel presenting the true picture.

Such acts are part of dictatorial rule, Fazl said adding that the rulers can’t gag the voice of truth for long. The transmission of 24NewsHD has been banned for the past 87 days.
