Terrorists attack on Pak border from inside Afghanistan, 2 soldiers martyred

Pakistan army Wednesday foiled a plan of terrorists to cross the fence on Pak-Afghan border from inside Afghanistan.

The terrorists attacked the Pak forces from inside Afghanistan on night October 26-27 and during the intense exchange of fire, two Pakistani soldiers embraced Shahadat.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), terrorists from inside Afghanistan attempted to cross the fence along Pak-Afghan Border in district Kurram.

Pak troops initiated a prompt response and thwarted the attempted illegal crossing by engaging the terrorists.

However, during intense fire exchange, Lance Naik Asad, resident of Kurram, age 24 years and Sepoy Asif, resident of Lakki Marwat, age 21 years embraced shahadat.

The ISPR said that Pakistan strongly condemned the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against Pakistan and expected that the interim Afghan Government would not allow such activities in future.

The ISPR said Pak Army was determined to guard Pakistan's frontiers against the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
