First flight carrying Afghan refugees leaves for Britain
More than 132 Afghan refugees Thursday were moved to Britain from Islamabad through a special chartered flight, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
A counter of FIA immigration was set up at the Islamabad International Airport and the special category Afghan refugees boarded the flight under the supervision of British High Commission staff.
Children and women were among them. It was stated 3,000 Afghan refugees will be sent to Britain through 12 flights.
On Wednesday, the British High Commissioner delegation called upon the Civil Aviation Authority and went over the transfer of the Afghan refugees.
