Two children were killed and five people of a family were injured when the roof of a house collapsed in Sheikhupura on Tuesday.

According to details, the incident took place in the Lagar Village of Sheikhupura during repair of the house. Construction material was kept on the roof when it caved in.

As a result, Tayyeb (12) and Arsha Batool (8) were buried alive under the rubble. House owner Tahir (40), his wife Fozia (35) and children Samiullah (10), Rehan (4) and Saim (2) were seriously injured.

The locals and Rescue 1122 personnel pulled the bodies and the injured out of the rubble and shifted them to the hospital. Bodies were handed over to heirs after completion of legal formalities.
