Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday demanded the formation of a judicial commission on what she called filing of a ‘false’ reference against Supreme Court (SC) judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to newsmen in Islamabad, Maryam Nawaz accused the government of conspiring against the SC judge. “The PML-N will not let this matter be forgotten,” she vowed.

Warning the present government of the consequences of its policies and ‘victimization’ of the opposition, the PML-N vice-president said, “Dread that day when you will no more be in power.”

She was of the view that despite heavy ‘political engineering’, the PTI government was facing failures on all fronts.

She said PML-N was well aware what conspiracies were being hatched against it ever since the PTI held a sit-in in 2014.

Referring to the statement given by former DG FIA Bashir Memon, Maryam said never ever in the history heads of institutions were summoned to the PM House to ask them to file cases against political opponents.

She said people had now realised how Sicilian mafia looked like.

She said she did not give an iota of importance to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Barrister Farogh Naseem.

Maryam said that the nation is suffering due to incompetency of Prime Minister Imran Khan and his government.

The PML-N leader said that the heads of the national institutions are being threatened whereas the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is also targeting the political opponents.

The federal government cannot become ‘a political martyr’ now, she added.

Maryam said that if Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) too had agreed with other parties of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an opposition parties’ alliance, on giving resignations from the assemblies, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government would be a history by now.

Farogh Naseem rejects FIA ex-DG’s allegations

Federal Law Minister Barrister Dr Farogh Naseem completely refuted ‘baseless’ allegations leve;led by former FIA director general Bashir Memon and said he had never discussed any issue regarding Justice Qazi Faez Isa with Bashir Memon, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

“Azam Khan, Shahzad Akbar and Bashir Memon have never come to my office together. Azam Khan has only come to my office once and that was all by himself only to discuss legal reforms,” the Law Minister tweeted.

Farogh Naseem said that Prime Minister Imran Khan, Azam Khan or Shahzad Akbar have never ever stated to him that they have discussed anything with Bashir Memon about Justice Isa.

Speaking on Tuesday, Maryam Nawaz said that if there is any conspiracy regarding occupied Kashmir, we will not allow it to happen alleging that incompetent government has ruined the country. The present government is a curse for Pakistan, she added.

The PML-N leader said that she would run an election campaign in Azad Kashmir. The victory of PML-N in these elections is certain adding that she wants to end this curse forever.

Maryam Nawaz strongly condemned the arrest of PML-N leader Mian Javed Latif and said that he is being punished for speaking the truth. She said that he is as patriotic as all of us.
