Pakistani lawmakers show unity against Indian threats

Pakistani senators on Monday showed a strong unity against the recent threats from India. They said Pakistan is a peaceful country but it will respond strongly if India tries to create any trouble, especially about water or Kashmir, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Senator Faisal Vawda said that Pakistan does not want war, but it will be the first to strike if India tries to stop Pakistan’s water. 

He said, "If there is a threat to our country, we are all united. Our army is brave and we stand behind it." 

He thanked the Pakistani media and TV anchors for giving a strong reply to India. He asked the prime minister to convene a meeting of all political parties to discuss the current situation.

Senator Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar spoke about the situation in Kashmir. He said that Kashmiris still do not have the right to decide their future due to the brutality of India.

He also said that minorities in India do not get their basic rights. He criticized the Indian leaders for issuing violent threats, adding that they are acting foolishly.

He praised Pakistan’s army and said the current army chief is a wise and responsible leader. He also said that Indian media and politicians are secretly talking about starting a war. 

Lieutenant General (Retired) Abdul Qayyum also spoke during the Senate session. He said Pakistan does not want war, but if there is a need, Pakistan will defend itself. He said that India cannot scrap the IRSA water treaty unilaterally.

He explained that stopping river water is not easy and that we should now build dams, as it is a basic right of Pakistan. He said that India is already breaking international laws, but Pakistan is ready to face any challenges.

All speakers in the Senate agreed that Pakistan must stay strong, united and ready to protect its rights. They praised the army and said the nation is standing firmly behind the armed forces.
