13 die in rain-related incidents in Karachi

At least 13 people died in rain-related incidents in Karachi on Thursday.
Four children and two women died when the wall of a building collapsed on them at Johar Morr near Millennium Mall.
Army, Navy, Rangers and Sindh Police personnel reached the scene to carry out a rescue operation. More people are feared to have been buried under the rubble.
According to the locals, the wall fell at the time of sunset and people of the neighbourhood started a rescue operation on a self-help basis. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah reached the scene of the incident and reviewed the rescue operation.
Earlier, a six-year-old boy died when a wall collapsed in Orangi 15-D. Another child was buried alive under a wall in the Katti Pahari area. A man drowned in the water accumulated under the Golimar Underpass. A 30 years old man drowned in a monsoon channel in Liaquatabad and a 22 years old boy drowned in a stream.
