PTI MNAs will now meet NA Speaker on Thursday

The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf again established a contact with National Assembly Secretariat on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Speaker’s Office inquired from the PTI about their intention to visit the National Assembly for a meeting with Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.

The PTI leaderships has said that they will meet the NA Speaker at 11:00 am on Thursday (tomorrow).

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has returned to Islamabad on Tuesday night and had been sitting in his chamber today since 10:00 am for the meeting.

Earlier, a PTI parliamentary delegation was likely to meet National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Wednesday (today) to decide on a procedure for the confirmation of the resignations by the party’s MNAs.

According to the party sources, the PTI delegation was to be included Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Aamir Dogar, Asad Umar, Asad Qaiser and Pervez Khattak.

PTI leader Aamir Dogar had approached the National Assembly speaker for a meeting on the issue of resignations by the party’s MNAs.

In the meeting, the PTI delegation was said to discuss the process of confirming the resignations by the party’s MNAs with the National Assembly speaker.

The PTI MNAs have been stopped from coming to Islamabad for resignations due to the meeting of the delegation with the speaker.

Aamir Dogar will present the PTI’s stance on the resignations of the MNAs in the meeting with the speaker. “We will get a date fixed for the resignations of our MNAs,” Dogar said.
