A deranged man sexually assaulted mentally retarded 10-year-old girl in Goth Wastra in Khairpur District on Friday.

According to the Ahmedpur Police, the culprit identified as Wazir Wastro raped 10-year-old mentally retarded Rukhsar Parveen in Goth Wastra Ahmedpur. The accused fled the scene after leaving the special girl in critical condition.

On information, the police launched hunt for the accused and managed to nab him. During preliminary investigation, the rapist has confessed to have sexually abused the girl.

The police launched further investigation.

HOSPITAL REFUSES TREATMENT

On the other hand, administration of Lady Willington Hospital Khaipur forced out the rape victim of the hospital. According to grandmother of the mentally challenged rape victim, the hospital administration refused to treat her granddaughter. The victim bled entire night outside the hospital’s door but the administration did not provide her bed, neither any medical assistance.

In the morning Dr Aneela forced them out of the hospital, asking them to treat the victim at some private health facility, the elderly woman claimed. She appealed that they are poor and could not pay for treatment of the rape victim.

Local social and religious circles have condemned rape of the mentally challenged girl as well as rude behaviour of the government hospital administration. They demanded the Sindh CM and Health Minister to take action against admin of the hospital and provide best possible treatment facilities to the victim.
