PTI utterly failed to deliver on its promises, reiterates Hamza Shehbaz

February 28, 2022 11:57 AM

Wondering as to where was the Naya Pakistan (new Pakistan) as was promised by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) to the nation prior to coming to power, Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly (PA) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz said on Monday that the PTI government had fulfilled not a single promise it had made to the people during its last four years in office, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking to the media outside the FIA Special Court Central in Lahore, he said whenever the PTI leaders and the government ministers were asked about the Tosha Khana reference, they preferred not to answer such questions. “Imran Khan Niazi tells lies to the nation inside as well as outside the parliament,” he alleged.

He also claimed that the Indians had funded the PTI as the money deposited in the party’s bank accounts was donated by them.

Court extends interim bails granted to Hamza, Shehbaz until March 10:

Earlier, while extending the interim bails granted to Hamza and his father, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif in a money laundering case until March 10, Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Special Central Court judge said he would take up for the hearing the FIA’s plea for daily hearing of the reference as well as Sharif’s petition, in which they had challenged the court’s jurisdiction, on the aforementioned date.

The court marked both father and son as well as other suspects in the case present.

The counsel for the FIA alleged that both Hamza and his father Shehbaz Sharif were employing delaying tactics to prolong the case.

Azam Nazir Tarar, counsel for Sharifs and other suspects, on the other hand prayed to the court to grant extension to his clients in their bails since investigation was complete and challan had also been submitted in the case.
