The Legal Rights Forum has arranged a special sitting to take up the issue of child domestic labour.

The participants, including lawyers, civil society activists, and journalists, expressed their concerns about a rising trend of child domestic labour.

The participants observed that financial problems left many children in the lurch.

The rules are in place but the ground realities look different as effective steps are taken by the government, the matter will not be resolved, participants.

The children should be protected from being discouraged from doing work at home, they stressed calling for a comprehensive awareness campaign is the need of the hour.
