Chaman administration has apologized for the security of Maulana Fazlur Rehman's visit to the district on the grounds of terror threats.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, Chaman Deputy Commissioner Jamadad Khan issued the letter to Additional Chief Secretary, DG Balochistan Levies and others to aware of the situation.

The Chaman Deputy Commissioner said in the letter that conditions are not good in Chaman and there is a threat of terrorism so they cannot provide security to Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The district authority also suggested Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam head Maulana Fazl to postpone his visit to Chaman and said a policeman was attacked a few days ago and the TTP claimed responsibility.

Reacting to the DC Chaman’s refusal of security, Secretary-General of the JUI-F Balochistan and Member National Assembly Syed Mahmood Shah announced to provide security to Maulana Fazlur Rehman himself.

Talking to 24News HD TV channel, Syed Mahmood Shah said Balochistan is the land of the people of pride and the hospitable. He said the DC Chaman has violated the traditions of Balochistan by issuing notice.
