NEPRA to hear plea for hike in power tariff tomorrow

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) will tomorrow hear the application filed by the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) for an increase in the price of electricity by 48 paisa per unit under the adjustment for December, 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The increase, if approved, will also apply to the consumers of Karachi Electric (K-Electric).

Presently, the adjustment for the month of November, 2025 applies to consumers across the country.

Under the adjustment, the price of electricity had been slashed by 93 paisa per unit.
