A PTI meeting held with former premier Imran Khan in the chair has okayed resuming public welfare projects, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Thursday.
Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, Moonis Elahi, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Farrukh Habib, Dr Sania Nishtar, Hashim Jawan Bakht and Zain Qureshi, Fawad Chaudhry, Dr Shahbaz Gul and Asad Umar joined the meeting. Imran Khan announced Ehsaas Ration Program for Punjab.
Addressing the participants, the former prime minister came down hard on the PML-N-led coalition government for aborting projects launched by the previous regime.
The incompetence of the current federal government left the people in the lurch, he said, adding that people have been facing deep troubles for the past three months.
However, the former prime minister laid stress on addressing public concerns and restart of the stalled schemes to provide maximum relief to the masses.
In a televised public address yesterday, the former prime minister listed his government’s feats, saying said the country had the right economic indicators when he was in power and Pakistan was on an upward trajectory.
However, the current government ignored the fact and went on its looting spree as it has nothing to do with the public service.
