Nursing students stage protest against new policy in Rawalpindi

Nursing students of District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) held a protest demonstration against the new policy of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) in Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The protesting students said an enhancement in passing marks from 50 to 60 is totally illegal. They said that they are afraid that after the implementation of this policy, thousands of students would not be able to receive their degree or would fail to qualify.

 They demanded that the government restore the previous policy immediately to enable students to continue their studies without any fear.

During the demonstration, the students chanted slogans against the management of the University of Health Sciences. They also displayed placards against the new policy.

The students said that they are disappointed with the behavior adopted by the University of Health Sciences.

They said that in case the government does not address their grievances, they will expand their protests in other areas.
