E-challan system goes into operation in Hyderabad
The Hyderabad Police have officially launched a modern E-Challan System, marking a significant step towards digital traffic law enforcement in the city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tueday.
According to the police spokesperson, the new system is designed to improve traffic discipline by ensuring automatic action against motorists who violate traffic rules. The initiative aims to enhance road safety, reduce manual enforcement and promote greater compliance with traffic regulations.
As part of the new system, traffic violations will be detected using mobile camera technology, enabling authorities to issue electronic challans (traffic fines) without the need for physical intervention. The digital monitoring system is expected to make traffic enforcement more efficient, transparent and accurate.
Police officials have urged motorists to strictly follow traffic rules and regulations to avoid penalties under the newly implemented E-Challan System.
