Zeb Bangash confirms Pakistan Idol is making a comeback
Pakistani singer Zeb Bangash has officially confirmed that Pakistan Idol is returning, exciting fans of the popular singing competition.
Sharing the announcement on her Instagram story, Zeb wrote, "Our @pakistanidol_ bulbuls are back and so are we. Coming soon to you all! Thank you all for the love and for missing us so much! We missed you too."
Launched in 2013, Pakistan Idol is the local adaptation of the global Idol franchise and became one of the country's most popular music reality shows.
Its judging panel previously featured Fawad Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Bilal Maqsood and Zeb Bangash, who helped discover and mentor aspiring singing talent from across Pakistan.
Zebunisa Bangash, popularly known as Zeb Bangash, is Pakistani singer-songwriters, renowned for her soulful vocals and versatility across multiple languages, including Urdu, Pashto, Persian, Punjabi and Kashmiri.
She first rose to prominence as one half of the acclaimed indie-folk duo Zeb and Haniya, before establishing a successful solo career.
A graduate of Mount Holyoke College in the United States, Zeb received classical vocal training under Ustad Mubarak Ali Khan and later Ustad Naseeruddin Saami.
She has been a prominent voice on Coke Studio Pakistan, contributed to several Bollywood soundtracks, and became the first Pakistani artist to serve as a Bollywood music director with the critically acclaimed film Lipstick Under My Burkha (2016).
