The federal government has amended the Import Policy Order 2022 and granted permission for the importation of used cars with mileage up to 2,000 kilometers.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, this decision marks a notable change from the previous regulation where only vehicles with mileage up to 500 kilometers were allowed for import.

The channel reported that under the new directive, a car with mileage up to 2,000 kilometers will now be considered as a new vehicle for import purposes, signaling a shift in import policy.

The Ministry of Commerce has amended the Import Policy Order 2022 to reflect this change, indicating a revision in the approach towards the importation of used cars.
