Military greets nation on Youm-e-Takbeer Day

On the eve of Youm-e-Takbeer, the ISPR director general has paid tributes from armed forces and nation to those who made efforts to realize the dream of making Pakistan into an atomic power, thus restoring a balance of power in the region, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The ISPR DG in its tweet on Friday said that 23 years ago on this day, Pakistan restored the balance of power in the region by successfully establishing credible minimum nuclear deterrence.

He said the armed forces and the nation pay(s) tribute to all those involved in making this dream come true.

Shehbaz congratulates nation on Youm-e-Takbeer 

PML-N President and Opposition leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif in his statement on Friday congratulated the nation on the anniversary of Youm-e-Takbeer. 

He asked his party workers to celebrate May 28 across the country with national enthusiasm. He called upon his party activists to highlight the importance of this historic day and the sacrifices rendered for the accomplishment of this objective. 

He said the youth must be made aware of the effects of this decision on Pakistan’s sovereignty and security. He said 23 years ago, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif while translating the nation’s aspirations declared that we did not accept servitude. He said Nawaz’s courage, bravery and his endeavor to safeguard the national interests was an unforgettable chapter in the annals of history. 

Shehbaz paid tribute to those people and institutes rendering services to Pakistan’s atomic capability. He said those who made Pakistan’s defense impregnable by making it an atomic power were our national heroes. He said Pakistan’s atomic capability was its credible deterrent. 

Shehbaz said after making Pakistan the 7th atomic power of the world, Nawaz set on a journey to make Pakistan an economic force. He said if the pace of economic growth kept on going under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan would have made an economic blast.
