Hyderabad administration introducing measures to stem the spread of coronavirus in the city, announced on Saturday that wedding ceremonies will now take place outdoor from 11am to 3:30pm, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
With limiting the time to the daytime, the administration has also said that only outdoor wedding ceremonies will be allowed.
The National Command and Control Center (NCOC) has already announced that only outdoor wedding coronaries with limited number of people will be allowed.
Earlier, the city’s administration granted conditional permission for the use of banquet halls in Karachi for holding marriage ceremonies.
Karachi’s Commissioner Iftikhar Ali Shallwani held negotiations with the representatives of the association of banquet hall owners in Karachi to issue revised guidelines for marriage ceremonies in the port city.
The marriage halls would not be allowed to entertain more than 300 guests at a time.
The ceiling of the banquet halls would be opened up to 40 per cent for ventilation and halls will use fans instead of the air-conditioners.
According to new guidelines, the buffet system will not be allowed to serve meal to the guests and only three guests would be allowed to sit on a single table.
President of the Marriage Halls’ Association Rana Raees Ahmed assured the city’s commissioner that the government-recommended standard operating procedures (SOPs) against the COVID-19 spread would be strictly followed for holding the marriage ceremonies.
