Punjab to export rice worth $2 billion this year

After getting increased cotton production this year, the Punjab government has achieved yet another milestone as it, after fulfilling the needs of the province, will export rice worth $2 billion this year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Overall, the country will export rice worth $3 billion this year.

Last year, Punjab had exported rice worth $1 billion only.
